Dummy load resistor

A dummy load is a device used to simulate an electrical loa usually for testing purposes. It is used as substitute for a conventional ohmic load resistor. Non-inductive dummy load resistors are a must for bench testing amplifiers. Also useful for testing loudspeakers and other audio circuits requiring an ohm load . I have seen on most videos where they mention using such dummy loads but they are usually those ceramic resistors.

Need help to find correct values.

Resistance Range: ohms, ±. Using a DC Electronic Load vs power. VHF: power resistor to replace dummy load. Schniewindt had already supplied dummy load . The dummy load is used as an acceptance test load resistance for the measurement of the residual internal stress current.

The ohmic value of the PCI . This video is a discussion the role of the load resistor in a constant current load circuit. For over years, WPI has been a laboratory product manufacturer focused on providing our customers with quality and cutting-edge laboratory equipment and.

I wanted to build one of the dummy load resistors (along with many other tools I think I will be needing and wanting) but wondered if anyone off . The reason for the parallel resistors is to maximize the power handling capability. The resistors are 3W units, so the dummy load –in theory–can . I dont have a watt ohm resistor for the dummy load but I do have several others like watt kohm ,or watt 3ohm and some watt 7 . Well, real dummy loads are designed with non-inductive resistors that ensure . Dimming LEDs can be tricky for a variety of reasons, and it can sometimes be difficult to . We can simulate this using a device, a dummy load , that draws power at a known rate. Dummy loads are usually nothing more than a large resistor. What about a 10Ohm watt . New pet project, building a dummy load suitable for my HF (and possible VHF) radio. Order ships free when this item is included and exceeds $99.

These resistors are used to increase the amps drawn by the led to make the flasher operate. Flange mount terminations and resistors (19). DUMMY LOADS One of the most useful tools in amplifier work is a Dummy Load ( Fig. ). Air-Cooled Dummy Loads The air-cooled dummy load is probably a lot more practical than oil-filled loads.

The down side is that the power rating of the resistor.
